National Eliminate Tobacco Use Day

Third Thursday of November

What is National Eliminate Tobacco Use Day?

Eliminate Tobacco Use Day occurs each year on the third Thursday in November and is intended to raise awareness for local and national tobacco-free events and organizations, and to amplify the national tobacco-free movement. The Great American Smoke Out is held the same day, and is designed to encourage tobacco users quit for at least one day, and to help them start their journey to a tobacco-free lifestyle. Tobacco-free organizations around the country hold events on this day each year to mark Eliminate Tobacco Use Day and the Great American Smoke Out, and to continue their dedicated efforts in tobacco control.
