Program Format
3 days of virtual classwork & 9 online, self-paced modules. All online modules MUST be completed prior to virtual training.
Day 1 (8:30-4:30)

Guest Speakers for Pharmacotherapy
Heather Lyons-Burney, PharmD, TTS
Heather Lyons-Burney serves as a Clinical Associate Professor for the UMKC School of Pharmacy’s satellite site at MSU in Springfield, Missouri with an ambulatory care practice site at Faith Community Health clinic. Following residency, her career began as an inpatient clinical pharmacist with Cox Health Systems, followed by community pharmacy ownership of three pharmacies. In 2010, Heather and other community leaders opened Faith Community Health clinic, an affordable primary care clinic for the uninsured and under-insured population surrounding Branson, Missouri. In early 2023, an expansion included the creation of My Neighbor’s Charitable Pharmacy, providing better access to prescription medications and pharmacist services. Heather has a broad background in substance use prevention, founding and leading in two county coalitions, contributing to grant applications and projects locally and state-wide, and educating the community. Currently, she serves as a HUB team member for the Vaping, Tobacco, and Nicotine Treatment Show-Me ECHO.
